Event Description
The “Researcher’s Night”, an event organized annually by the Research Promotion Foundation in Cyprus, is funded by the European Commission under the “Horizon 2020” Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
Members of STARC, participating either in Promised and/or other RPF and EU-funded projects, gave the opportunity to audiences of different ages and backgrounds to engage in a number of activities that acquainted them with the human skeleton as a key source of information about life in the past.
The activities included viewing the dental structure under the microscope and discussing its potential as a marker for assessing age and stress, bone cast excavation and identification, bone jigsaws and posters visualizing different pathological conditions that afflict the human skeleton. The event was a big hit among young children!
